Citron Story
Citron is a large fragrant citrus fruit that is largely produced in the Southern cost of Korea and Kochi Prefecture in Japan from November.
Citron has strong taste and fragrance and is not only used as culinary ingredients like tea, beverages and food, but also as bath bomb, cosmetics, bath products and air refresher. Citron produced in Korea has strong fragrance and thick rind.
Citron is largely produced in areas where it has abundant sunshine and mild temperature with high rate of rainfall. In addition to these, mild sea breeze can help produce citron with greater sweetness, color and fragrance. Citrons are cultivated in mountain slopes where there’s high temperature gap between day and night and has abundant sunshine and good drainage system. As over 62% of area is covered by mountains, hills and ocean, Goheung in Korea has the perfect environment for citron cultivation and it is also known as the number one of citron production area.
